speaking

As a photographer I have spent much of my life examining the world in front of my eyes - wondering about its beauty and what animates it. Photography has been a wise teacher, leading me to insights about that world, the art of observing, the power of inspiration, and the joy of living deliberately. I have a continuing drive to see and to understand, and so the lessons keep coming.

Compelled by the practice of photography, I have been successful in my own business for three decades. I know how to make a living by my passion and my wits. I know about making images. And I know that paying attention can transform a life. I have always been motivated to share with others the experiences that excite me. Up to this point I have made photographs. Now I am adding my voice.

My presentations draw from chapters in a multifaceted life as a professional artist and are accompanied by projected images (for examples, see this site or www.PearsonPhotography.com). My intention is that my insights and explorations might trigger or reinforce your own. Whenever possible, I include time in a talk for questions and comments because there is a richness in the exchange that I find enlightening and inspiring.

My audiences have included business women, amateur and professional photographers, garden enthusiasts, sea glass collectors, artists, and those who love art. I am very interested in exploring options with other groups. I am available to speak about:
